Our Purpose and Intentions

We are a collection of people committed to improving K-12 mathematics education in the state of Washington. Our group includes mathematicians and mathematics educators from several of Washington’s universities and colleges, and K-12 teachers, coaches and administrators from all across the state. We have set up this web site because we feel that our fellow Washingtonians need and deserve clear and accessible information about the basic issues in Washington’s current K-12 mathematics scene. Our goal is to provide straightforward expositions, with links to the direct sources of our statements. We also supply additional links for people who would like to delve further.
